Size: L 10" x W 12" History: Photograph of the John and Isabelle Barton mansion on the corner of Central and Broadway, now the site of the Alameda hotel. The mansion was erected in 1878 for Mr. Barton who was president of Union Pacific Salt Company in San Francisco. It was designed by the Newsom brothers. The photograph was given to the Alameda Historical Society in 1953 and never catalogued. Donor: Gladys Grier Date: September 16, 2000
