History of Object: Framed photographic portrait of Theodore Eisfeldt, old-time resident of Alameda. The Eisfeldt family came to Alameda in 1892 from San Francisco, following the construction of their home at 1722 Buena Vista Avenue.
Mr. Eisfeldt became a prominent customs' broker of San Francisco. He married Alva Opie in 1909, and died in Alameda in 1923.
