Acc. No. 96.116.1 Subject Category: City Officials Date or Period: Ca. 1900 Object: Photograph Description: Sepia-toned albumen print cabinet photo mounted on lt. tan paperboard. Photographer: J.H. Peters, 914 Market St., San Francisco. Much staining and glue remnants encircle the edges of the image. Two old cataloging label: are glued to the upper corners of the image and a typed description label is affixed to the bottom edge of same. Size: L-6 1/2 x W-4 1/4 in. History of Object: Portrait of William H. Noy, future Mayor of Alameda (1909–1912). He owned the Palace Market on Lincoln Ave., and resided at 1535 Bay Street.
