History:
Photographic print made from either an original photograph or negative depicting 1424 Union Street, a one-story dental office erected in 1899 for Dr. Walter K. Scott, dentist. The original photograph may have been taken shortly after the building was constructed as there are no other structures adjoining it. The building is still standing in 2000 in an altered condition as a residence. The print was made by a member of the Alameda Photographic Society.
