Mid. 1920's Object: Photos (series of 6) Description: Black & white glossy snap shot photos with Greek key design borders. Signed on the reverse side "This is a genuine Border-Fox Tone Picture." Size: L-3 3/4 x W-6 inches. History of Object: Set of 6 photos taken at the Bethlehem Steel Yards, Hunter's Point, San Francisco. They depict sections of the tubbing (floating) used for the construction of the Posey Tube (connecting Alameda with Oakland). The photos were formerly the property of Edward Fowler Sr. (Alameda resident) who was an employee of Bethlehem (S.F.) that produced the tube. Acquired from: Ed Fowler Date: 2-10-86
