Description: Professionally photographed series of 18 black/white photos mounted on grey scrapbook paper in a loosely bound album with brown paper endpapers, held together by a greenish gold knotted lace. Photographer unknown. Some damage (tears and creases) to the front and back end pages, and a small segment is missing from the lower left corner of the first photograph.
Size: Each album page: L-9 1/2 x W-12 1/2 in.
History of Object: Series of interior and exterior views of the S.A. Moss home in 1908.
The house was built in 1893 by lumberman H.K. Fields, then sold in 1908 to S.A. Moss (father of the donor), again sold in 1916 to State Senator Joseph R. Knowland, who eventually sold it to Lloyd Swaine (who ultimately removed the third story). The home is now stuccoed into a Mediterranean design.
