Description: Sepia-toned albumen print photograph, mounted on it. tan paperboard. Some damage to the mounting corners. old cataloging sticker and a description are affixed to the mounting. Pencilled notations are also on the mounting.
History of Object: Interesting view of soldiers of the National guard of Alameda, in 1863. They are identified as Henry Shute, Fred K. Krauth, Jr., Al Koag, J. Mayerkofen, and P.H. McAheney. Two soldiers in foreground are nicely posed in uniform and rifles with fixed bayonets.
