History of Object: This photograph was taken by Eleanor D. Clark, circa 1930, one rainy afternoon, crossing what we called the "Estuary" (Webster Street, between the now Posey Tube & Atlantic Avenue) looking West across the flats toward the Clark's Pottery Works. Over the land on which the college of Alameda & its campus now stands. This land would flood in rainy weather and often became a sea of beauty with the reflections of a setting sun.
