History of Object: Street view of Hofmann's Bakery, 918 Central Ave., Alameda, owners Fred and Irma Hofmann, dated 1926. Photo taken by Vernon Sappers from the back of a Southern Pacific train. The view is looking east between 9th and Weber streets. Note the SP tracks in the center of the street. Hofmann's Bakery is the 2-story building at right. Verso of the photo had a print out includes a clipping or print of a red train and its route.
