History of Object: Series of photographic scenes of the Flag Day ceremonies held at Washington Park on July 10, 1945: (a) U.S. Sailors and Waves on parade; (b) massed group of U.S. flag bearers; (c) pageant with an older woman dressed as "Columbia" with an escort of gowned girls; (d) military band performing; (e) "Columbia" and her escorts; (f) same as previous, only a vertical view; (g) young girls doing a dance; (h) another view of previous; (i) girl dancers at rest; (j) parade of girls in foreign costumes; (k) same as previous; (l) Boy Scouts with civic officials; (m) Boy Scouts presenting the U.S. flag; (n) folk dancing group; (o) group of 5 unidentified civic officials; (p) Flag Day program listing participating organizations, the schedule of events, and the Flag Week Committee.
