A has a label attached with yellowed scotch tape on the reverse. A and B have a stamp from the Maritime Service Officers School date-stamped, A: Jun 13, 1944, B: Oct 26, 1944. A-G have handwritten in blue pen 'Naval Air No.' and a number. G-N have 'Photograph by KILLINGER' and a sequence number stamped on the back. O and P have handwritten in pencil 'Washington Park'. Q has no identifying information. Size: (each): L 10 x W 8 inches History of Object: Photos of Flag Day Ceremony, June 11, 1944. Participants include cadets from the United States Maritime Service school, WAVES, sailors, bands, a group dressed in 1890s outfits, girls in may-day outfits, a group of asian women drummers and perhaps boy scouts or crossing guards. A 1-floor building with dormer windows and step-stair gable can be seen on some of the photos. Otto Rittler was heading the Recreation and Parks department.
