History of Object: Two photos depicting the main facade of 1160 Bay Street, erected in 1905 for Fred G. & May P. Baker (paternal grandparents of the donor). A Brown Shingle style residence, 1160 Bay was constructed by H. E. Brown & A. G. Swain, Oakland contractors & builders, from plans drawn by B. E. Remmel. The cost was $5,050.
