History of Object: Photographs of their local activities accumulated by the Alameda Chapter of the American Red Cross. The activities shown include scenes involving their Gray Ladies' outreach to wounded veterans, high tea social events, theatrical fund raisers, appreciation ceremonies for their volunteers, Christmas parties, as well as events in which small children are present. Many of these images were intended to accompany press releases.
