Object: Six black and white photographs, unmounted
Description: Series of six photographs of young boys and girls exercising as a group in Lincoln Park. Girls are all dressed in white sailor dresses and boys in white shirts and dark shorts. A man stands on a platform directing them; he has his back to the photographer (this leader could be Otto Rittler). Behind the man is a table with several trophies on it, presumably to be presented as part of the ceremony. Photos A, B, C, and E show the students in various exercises. Photos D has three young ladies carrying a banner, and photo F features a group of boys and girls marching off the field.
Size: A and B have been trimmed to 13 1/2" x 8"; C is untrimmed at 14 1/4" x 8 1/4; D, and E, and F are all trimmed to 8" x 13 1/2".
History of Object: A series of photographs kept by Otto Rittler because of his position at that time as the schools' recreation and physical education director.
