Description: 6 black-and-white photographs of a derelict drive-in theater, signage stating ’Island Aut Drive’.

History of Object: photos of the Island Auto Movie Theater, Thau Way, before being demolished for housing. The ‘o’ has already disappeared, buildings are falling apart, weeds are growing in cracks in the concrete. The entrance gates have signage for the weekend Penny market that was operating here after the theater closed. The screen was damaged in 1981 and repaired, although never used again.
