Description: Series of color photographs in two sizes. A-K: Car March and protest to City Hall, June 5; L-U: March and protest to the Police Station, corner Oak and Lincoln, on June 11; V-DD: Plywood Art, June 2020.
History of Objects: Series of photographs taken during a car march, to protest the death of George Floyd and others, to City Hall on June 5, a protest march to the Police Station on Oak and Lincoln on June 11, after a black Alameda resident who was exercising dance moves in front of his house, was arrested, and of artwork commissioned by business owners to show support for the cause, while having to protect their shop windows from violent looters with plywood panels in early June, 2020. The photos also show people wearing masks because of the COVID-19 outbreak of 2020. The photos formed a window exhibit while the museum was closed because of risk of infection by the COVID-19 virus.
