Description: Black/white photos mounted in an album of lt. grey scrapbook pages with album covers of a heavy paperboard covered with a dk. greyish blue fabric material. There are 47 album sheets (L-9 x W-14 in.) only 12 of which have photographs glued upon them. Two other pages have a typed descriptive informative white card affixed to them.
Sizes: (each): L-7 1/2 x W-10 1/2 in.
History of Object: Views of the Herbert home at 1433 Morton Street: #a - exterior view of the front, showing a governess with a young girl on the porch; #b - another front view showing the large garden at the left; #c - bottom of grand staircase featuring a bronze light fixture upon the newel post; #d - distant view of the staircase bottom; #e - inner parlor view; #f - view of an alcove area; #g - sitting room with leather rocking chairs; #h - same room, different angle, showing a governess seated in a chair with the young girl on her lap; #i -side room with a round dining table; #j - nursery, with wicker furniture; #k - furniture in the nursery; #l - the young girl seated in her playroom amid her many toys.
