Description: A set of goggles, orange glasses in metal frame, stuffed suede or chamois around and inside, and an elastic strap. Frame has a hinged bridge. On the bridge: 'AN6530', no other brand markings observed.

History of Object: Goggles worn by Burr H. Winslow, Alameda resident and aviation pioneer, during mail runs from Salt Lake City to San Francisco between 1926 and 1930. Winslow lived at 135 Maitland Dr., AIameda, Calif. 94501. He was born June-15, 1891, and died March 7, 1978. He retired from working for United Airlines, and held the record of being their longest-living pilot.
