History of Object: This photographic postcard of four individuals at sea on a calm day, and an unidentified fifth. There is a number under each man, on a, 1-4 (excluding the unidentified person), b, 1-5. 1. Swede at the wheel, 2. Captain C.A. Halvorsen, 3. Bookkeeper, 4. The Superintendent, 5. Doctor Pilis. This photo was taken aboard the Star of Alaska now called the Balcutha, which is permanently moored at the Maritime Museum in San Francisco.
