Description: Statuette of gypsum of a standing man, left foot forward, holding a lamb, half hidden within his cloak. The figure is hand-painted and glazed, with dark brown hair in a page-cut, wearing an orange-red robe, a dark-green cloak, and red shoes. The base is painted dark-green. Underside is stamped: 'Germany' in black.
Size: H 5 3/4 x L 2 x W 2 1/8 inches.
History of Object: Figurine of a shepherd, part of a Manger or Nativity Scene of the Martin Family, who came to Alameda in the early 1900s.
