Description: Statuette of gypsum of a standing man, right foot forward, left hand on hip holding a bag, right hand folded holding a metal stick painted brown. The figure is hand-painted and glazed, with light brown hair, wearing yellow knee-breeches, a white shirt, red vest, blue jacket and brown hat. The base is painted dark moss-green. Underside is stamped: 'Germany' in black.
Size: H 5 x L 1 5/8 x W 2 1/2 inches.
History of Object: Figurine of a shepherd, part of a Manger or Nativity Scene of the Martin Family, who came to Alameda in the early 1900s.
