Description: A figurine of a beaver depending from a blue-and-white ribbon (A), a pre-printed Certificate (B) with gold foil seal with fleur-de-lys, and color photo (C) showing 3 men (one only half) wearing a similar ribbon and pendant, with a framed certificate being passed over. Text on certificate states: 'Boy Scouts of America / The silver Beaver Award / For distinguished service to Youth / Presented To / David M. Rose / Upon nomination by the Alameda Council [...].' Dated February 21, 2013.

History of Object: Silver Beaver award - an award for adults for outstanding service to the Boys Scouts organization - awarded to David Marshall Rose. Mr. Rose (b. 1942, d. 2018) lived in Alameda for many years, and was a charter member of the St. Philip Neri Boys Scouts of America Troop 78. The photo apparently shows the transfer of the certificate.
