Description: A medal (B) and pre-printed Certificate (A) with signatures, name, and date filled in by hand, featuring the image of the medal. The medal depends from a yellow ribbon with thin stripes of green, red, white and blue in the center. The medal shows the image of a man on a horse, with spear and dragon under the horse. Preprinted text certificate states: 'the St. George emblem / is presented to /[filled in by hand:] David M. Rose / In recognition of outstanding service to the spiritual development / of Catholic youth in the program of the Boy Scouts of America. Date: 2-8-87.

History of Object: St. George emblem - an award for adults for outstanding service for Catholic Boys Scouts - awarded to David Marshall Rose. Mr. Rose (b. 1942, d. 2018) lived in Alameda for many years, and was active in St. Philip Neri parish, including as a charter member of the St. Philip Neri Boys Scouts of America Troop 78.
