Description: Sepia toned albumen print oversized cabinet photo mounted on buff paperboard.
Photographer: Charles Lainer, an Alameda resident, but who maintained his studio on Third Street, San Francisco. The mounting has much foxing.
Size: L-8 1/2 x W-5 1/4 in.
History of Object: Studio wedding portrait of an unidentified young couple; the groom is seated on a chair and his veiled bride is standing next to him. Chas. Lainer, the photographer, maintained his residence in Alameda at 1043 San Antonio Avenue (which was in 1902 moved to its present site of 1034 Fair Oaks Avenue). By the time of the 1912 Alameda City Directory, Mr. Lainer had died but his widow, Minnie, survived him.
