Description: a 33-vinyl record size folder with graphics of lettering in bright colors, forming ‘Join the Parade’, ‘LeBlanc & Vito’, ‘The ‘In’ Group’ and ‘The Band’ on the front, with in black printed type: ‘Tempo Music’, ‘523-0733’, ‘So. Shore Center’, and ‘Alameda, Calif.’ alAbove this is in small type, places indicated for name, instrument, section, and the donor’s name is jndicated in pencil.
The inside has printed music notation, and flaps to hold additional music.

History of Object: Music folder with groovy design of 1970s popular music composers and themes, of Tempo Music, a business renting and selling instruments and selling sheet music and especially vinyl records. Founded around 1947, originally located at 1510 Webster Street (now housing the Pacific Pinball Museum), the business moved to 2234 South Shore (now the location of a gas station), where it became a popular destination for young people (‘kids’) to look through and buy records. Advertising 25-year anniversary sales in 1972, the business last advertised in 1975.
