History of Object: Photograph of Miss. Ellen Deans Clark, who married R. Frank Clark in 1872. Married in New York City, they moved to San Francisco in 1877, and then to Alameda in 1878. Mr. Clark built the family home in the 1700 block of Alameda avenue. Ellen Clark died in 1879 from consumption.
