Description: An irregularly torn-off section of wallpaper, folded double, with remnants of plaster on the back. The wall paper features a large design of pale pink and lavender roses and a design of white leaves accented with pale yellow green, on a tan striped background. Paper appears slightly shiny.
Size: (folded) L 30 x W 19 inches.
History of Object:
A section of wallpaper from 1309 Regent St., Alameda. The house was erected in 1890 by J. H. Young, contractor and builder, and sold to A. J. McNamara and family, and remaining in the family until 1986. Found, awaiting processing, without donor information, in the museum wallpaper storage, but likely acquired at the same time as the carpet sample cataloged as 95.116.1.
