HISTORY OF OBJECT: Hand tool of James Millington, pioneer resident of Alameda, who came here in C. 1854 and was responsible for building the first schoolhouse in Alameda (at the old Lincoln School site), called Alameda School and which eventually became Wilson and then Lincoln.
