Description: Wooden replica of a shelter, consisting of roof with two angled sides, supported by two beams with brackets, and a back extending past the roof, on a wooden base supported by two beams.
The wood is stained dark brown, and moss, painted black, has been glued to the top and front of the roof, and the frontal side of the backing. The moss has been painted with splotches of white, blue, yellow, orange, red and green.
Underside has been marked 'Germany' in white paint.

History of Object: Miniature of a stable, serving as a backdrop, part of a Manger or Nativity Scene of the Martin Family, who came to Alameda in the early 1900s.
