More aerial muscle for Alaska - Alaska Airlines' L-382 Hercules, built by Lockheed Georgia Company in Marietta, GA, loads truck with the aid of a Caterpillar earthmover at Alaska's North Slope. Suzie One site, operated by Atlantic Richfield Oil Co., has depended on Hercules' heavy hauling capability for the transfer of oil drilling equipment from Anchorage and Seattle. Oil rig in left background was hauled via Hercules in early 1966, permitting erection in record time.
