Bound in dark green cloth with marvelous art nouveau cover design attributed to Hugh Thomson. Gilt stamping incorporates many of Thomson's most famous Cranford designs - a shepherdess tending a flock of sheep, tall trees with a thick covering of leaves, with motif to spine. Dark coated endpapers. All edges gilt. Bound in the same cloth and style of the New Cranford Series, though technically not part of the Cranford Series.
