Bound in beveled blue cloth with black stamping to cover and spine in a repeating pattern, ruled, Eastlake inspired design. Central gilt stamped rectangle of title, geometrical elements, and a diagonal focus, using matte and bright gilt. Spine has a strong diagonal design of repeating patterns. Publisher's name to bottom of spine: T.Y. Crowell and Co. in gilt ribbon scroll. Wide gilt stamped title band to spine. All edges gilt. Plain endpapers.
