Stamped in black and gilt on deep blue cloth. Beveled edges. Highly decorated gilt spine with a diagonal embossed design depicting a small songbird within the title, a gilt heron at the bottom, and a soaring hawk at the top. Floral endpapers. Top edge gilt. The front cover in a ruled black border, continues the diagonal design with a songbird sitting on a branch in silhouette against a gilt sun.
