Publisher's Binding- VictorianBinding Notes
Bound in dark green cloth. Front board is stamped in both gold and silver. An odd effect: the silvered "lowers," but not the "F," appear shaded across the top or lower half, depending on the angle of light, imitating sunlight and shade. Honeycomb stamping of large sun on front board is repeated to spine which is bright and clear. Silver stamping is likely aluminum. Note diagonal design, exaggerated lettering.
Floral endpapers.Notes
Inscribed in fine, flowing hand on a front endpaper: "Emily Lord, Christmas 1886."Exhibitions
