This is a copy of the original balance sheet taken the first year following the half interest purchase of the Champlain Iron Works. It is signed by James Averill Jr who was the Treasurer for the board of directors at that time. James Averill along with Sylvester Kellog owned the Iron Works and sold half interset to TW & CB Sheridan on September 15, 1887
