Bound in a wide white cloth spine stamped in elaborate gilt design. With pictorial paper covered boards to half of cover in flowers printed in orange, brown, purple and green against a white background. Binding represents a style which was extremely popular at the turn of the century noted for white spines and repeating small flower patterns in calico-like cloth or paper - obviously marketed to the feminine buyer.
