Binding Notes

Art nouveau design in navy blue cloth with a decorated cover of intertwining tulip stems in green outlined with gold with their tulip blossoms in an unusual ivory and shaded salmon color combination, possibly achieved by using a hand dyed cloth, as each tulip blossom is different in shading and each is also raised from the rest of the decoration. Tulip motif repeated in green and gilt on the spines. Top edge gilt with side and bottom edges deckled.
