Art Nouveau gilt stamped design of intertwining iris by Margaret Armstrong. Binding is unsigned. Bound in lavender cloth with elaborate gilt spine decoration and titles. Stamped in gilt and white. One of a set of Reed titles which was issued at various times by Putnam, and is sometimes seen in pale ivory/grey cloth. Top edge gilt. Deckled page edges. Notable for alternative spine decoration of two irises.
