Bound in a wide cream cloth spine stamped in an art deco gilt design. Pictorial paper covered boards to half of cover in roses and buds printed in brown, pink, and green against a white background. Top edge gilt. Binding represents a style which was extremely popular at the turn of the century, noted for white spines and repeating small flower patterns in calico-like cloth or paper - obviously marketed to the feminine buyer.
