Context

Born June Cochrane from Ireland in 1920, was a female magician that performed since the age of three. In 1942, Merlin met magician Billy McComb, and assisted him in his performances before marrying him in 1949. Merlin in 1957 began performing as a solo act under the name June Merlin, along with the name "Bewitching Witch" and performed internationally on stage, TV, and radio for several decades. Merlin was a featured act in the first premier of the Festival of Magic on NBC-TV in 1957. Merlin died in 2007.
