This is a portfolio of 28 sign sketches created by W.E. "Earl" Killian while employed at VMC Signs, Victoria, TX. Killian was a pioneer in the sign industry who had more than 53 years of experience, having worked for 9 sign companies over time. he was born in Farmersville, TX in 1923. In WWII, he was a Civic Air Patrol major. Later, in 1959 he was awarded the D. Harold Byrd Award as the most outstanding C.A.P member in the U.S. The sketches are pencil on graph paper, although a few are color on white bond art paper.Artwork Details
