Description

This neon sign was once at the Budna Bar & Grill, a popular North College Hill spot opened by Bud and Edna Schlewinsky at the corner of West Galbraith and Brace Avenue in 1939. The Budna name is a combination of both the owners first names. The couple's son, Ken, took over the business in 1966.Cincinnati Magazine rated Budna as one of the top jukeboxes in Cincinnati in 1986. Ken (and his wife Marie) ran the restaurant until Ken's passing in 2009. It has since been both an upscale burger restaurant as well as an Indian food restaurant, each under new management.
