Name/Title

Wooden Workbench Easel

Description

The well-worn, hand-made bench was found on the second floor of a former theater in Pittsburgh, PA. The “table” portion of the adjustable easel was made from a discarded, hand-lettered Christmas-themed display, visible on the underside of the panel. Many of the larger theaters had full-time, in-house signpainters to design and create the various promotional displays needed to promote the changing slate of movies.
