Description

Get Up was a non-alcoholic lemon soda released in 1934. It's parent company was the Golden Age Ginger Ale based out of Youngstown, OH.  This “Get Up” sign was created by Neon Products of Lima, OH. Neon Products was founded in 1930 by Sam Kamin and James Howenstun who were previous employees of Artkraft. It was most well-known for creating art deco neon clocks and etched glass signs outline and backlit with neon in an art deco case. They permanently closed their doors on May 7th, 1977 and their building was torn down sometime in the 1980s.  This was partially due to neon being phased out and being replaced with incandescent signs.
