Description

Elmer Hensler founded Queen City Sausage in 1965. Cincinnati has already been known as "Porkopolis" since the mid 1800s because of the amount of pork and sausage produced for the US here. Queen City is located int he middle of the actual Porkopolis meat packing district. The sign includes neon outline of a Cincinnati silhouetted image with their icon/logo, a regal individual in blue. Queen City is illuminated with neon, while sausage and Cincinnati OH est. 1965 are printed. The full image is flanked with a ribbon at the bottom, and placed on a black glass backing.
