Description

According to the funeral home's website, the Morgan-Fox funeral home was housed in what was originally Stanford Female College, which opened in Kentucky in 1873. The building went through a number of other occupants after the school closed in 1907, until it was purchased by John Ball and "Gip" Morgan in 1939 and opened as the Ball & Morgan Funeral Home in April 1939. Ball sold his interest in 1948. In 1961, Bill Fox partnered with Morgan and the business became Morgan-Fox. This was when the porcelain enamel neon sign was presumably fabricated and installed.
