Henderson's Sign Painter originally published in 1906 by R. Henderson, Newark, NJ and The Signist: Modern Alphabets, Artistic Designs, and Sign Layouts with Rococo Panels for Sign Writers, Draughtsmen, Designers, Engravers, and Architects by R. Henderson and published by Excelsior Publishing House in 1905 combined in one volume and published by ST Publications, Cincinnati, OH: 1991 (reprint). Softbound: B&W illustrations; no page numbers "Another of the sought after period books; originals are fairly scarce. R. Henderson seemed to be the person responsible for compiling the books of plates by various noteworthy sign designers of the time. The Denver artist, John Ohnimus, stands out among the group with striking images, lettering, and layouts. Original editions were printed with numerous color plates, however the 1991 edition printed by Signs of the Times was printed only in black and white.
