Softbound; B&W illustrations; 224 pages "A Manual of the art of sign painting - contains 96 design layouts and accompanying color notes - 75 alphabets embracing all standard styles, their modifications and alternates - comprehensive text covering all practical phases of the art - for every day reference in the shop." Donor was not a signpainter, but very interested in the craft and bought books he found interesting. After his retirement from acedemia, he donated the books in memory of a signpainter friend of his, John Hodgins.Collection
