Two double-faced neon illuminated signs mounted on metal poles. One sign reads 'Bradish' on the main sign cabinet in backlit neon lettering. It is shaped like a paint pallet and has a neon border. Below it is two smaller cabinets one that reads 'Signs' and the one below that is of a pictorial of a truck both had neon lettering and shaping. All three of these sign cabinets are connected by a metal pole painted yellow in the shape of a paintbrush. This paint brush has a neon border, back lit lighting, and three drips of paint coming off it also outlined in neon. The second sign is two sign cabinets mounted on a white metal pole. The top cabinet reads 'Truck' and the bottom reads 'Lettering'. They both have painted lettering, neon overlayed that, and neon outlines on both of them. The 'Bradish', 'Truck', and 'Lettering' cabinets all have metal wire to protect the neon outlines.Context
The sign was displayed at Bradish Signs both shop and home of Bryan Merrill “Brad” Bradish Sr and Alvina L. Bradish. This was located at 5814 Jefferson Ave, Newport News, Virginia. They had owned the shop since 1956.Collection
