The glass globe-shaped sign's top portion comprises of a round cabinet and embossed glass face. The secondary bottom cabinet is also glass. The copy for all text appears to be screen-printed. When originally acquired, the bottom half of the globe had been painted over and the lower text could not be read. After it was safely removed, the Museum could fully read all of the text, which reads, "Have Your [] Cleaned Shoe Shine Cleaning Dressing," with an icon of a hat inserted between, "Have Your," and, "Cleaned."Collection
